Stephanie came into this experience with a concept that was deeply personal. She shared that for a long time, she had felt like she was in pieces. Like parts of herself had been cracked, separated, or hidden away through everything life had asked her to carry.

But she was also beginning to build herself back together.

Not the same as before.

Stronger. More honest. More powerful. More herself.

Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold instead of being hidden, we created a portrait concept that honored every part of her story. The cracks. The healing. The strength it took to keep going. And the beauty that was never lost in the process.

This shoot wasn’t about pretending she had never been hurt.

It was about showing that what tried to break her became part of what made her golden.
